As of July 1, 2010 most businesses in Ontario and British Columbia are now required to collect 13% HST instead of the previous provincial and federal sales taxes.
Due to the fact that Trinity Crafts is classified as a "Small Supplier", I was not required to collect the GST from all Canadian orders.
Because the taxes are now combined and the new rules are following the prior GST rules, Trinity Crafts is now not required to collect the HST.
As a result, there will be NO HST CHARGED ON ALL ORDERS.
The only issue is that according to the rules, once I reach a certain amount of gross sales within a fiscal period I must register for HST and begin collecting and remitting it to the government.
So, FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY NO TAX WILL BE CHARGED on any orders and my existing prices will NOT be adjusted to reflect my additional cost from my suppliers.
